Miwon Specialty Chemical completes EU REACH registration phases

Miwon Specialty Chemical (MSC) has successfully completed the final phase of registration under EU REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals), that aims to improve the protection of human health and the environment.
By submitting substance dossiers as the lead or co-registrants for substances which should be registered in EU, MSC is continually providing regulatory compliant products to their customers in EU.

To comply with REACH, companies must register the substances they manufacture or import in EU above one tonne a year since 2008.
The companies have to demonstrate to the ECHA how the substance can be safely used by submitting data on physic-chemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological properties, and information on uses.

While the registration deadline for REACH has been met, MSC will continue to work towards the evaluation of existing substances that has been already registered and the registration of new products to meet customer’s request. Also MSC will pursue to follow similar regulation in Korea, amended K-REACH which will be entered into force from 2019.
